Song Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Institute
The Song Allergy and Immunology Institute has moved to a brand new building, several blocks to the north, in Manhattan Beach. The new building was completed in May of this year, after two years of planning and construction. The building hosts separate reception areas for adults and children, 3 examining rooms, one rhinoscopy room, a doctors’ office, a nurses’ room, a patient education area, and a large area for allergy injections. The interior spaces are designed as “allergen-free”, featuring imitation wood floors, vertical blinds, air filter systems, and allergen-free furniture. It is hoped that, with larger space, patients feel more comfortable and staffs function more efficiently.
Map (click for map) The schedules are made flexible to accommodate the patients' needs. Off Hour Coverage Dr. Song has a part time teaching position at HGH-UCLA, and may not be in the office all the time, however, he carries a pager during off hours and answers all calls promptly. For non-urgent calls, please wait until the next office hours. In emergency situations, the patient is advised to go to the emergency room. Insurance Coverage Most PPO insurance plans cover the skin testing and allergen injection therapy. We do, however, recommend that the patients confirm with their plans.
